Shoes Made in England
FOUNDED IN 1920
DB Shoes was founded in 1920 in Northamptonshire, the centre of British footwear manufacturing, by identical twins Jack and Bill Denton. The company is now run by third generation family members, Charles and David Denton, who are also identical twins.
QUALITY & COMFORT
Today, we are best known for our manufacture of comfortable, quality footwear in a variety of extra wide fittings. Indeed, no other British footwear company offers a greater range of styles for wider feet.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
We have an on-going program of research, development and quality control which ensures that our footwear, whether made in our own factory or by one of our partner factories, meets our exacting standards of fit, quality and styling
DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY
Our shoes are designed and produced by experienced craftsmen using a mixture of traditional skills and the latest robotic technology. They are made to last! Look for the Made in England flag for the shoes made at our site in Rushden.
AIR BUBBLE SOLES WITH PU TECHNOLOGY
Our amazing technology allows us to produce one of the lightest, most comfortable soles in the UK. When the sole is moulded, thousands of air bubbles are trapped within the cellular structure. The bubbles give plenty of cushioning when walking, so you literally feel as though you are walking on air!
In the 1970's DB Shoes were the first factory outside the Clarks group to be permitted to use polyurethane injection moulding technology, transforming production methods. We are now the longest established polyurethane injection moulding shoe factory in the world, exporting more than 25% of our production.
