Customer Comment: I used to HATE shoes, I would rather go bare foot. I could not find a pair to fit me they were either too tight or too long, I knew I had a very wide foot, as my shoes wore with wear I was walking on the leather from the outside of my shoes. I had decided the only way to get a pair to fit was to get them specially made. I went to DB shoes they measured my feet and found I'd been buying the wrong sized shoes for years. I had a very wide foot but also a high instep, I needed their 6V fitting. The relief to put my foot into a shoe that fitted like a glove. My previous shoes (very similar) lasted 3 years with constant wearing, I work 12 hour shifts on my feet. I didn't slide to the side. When they wore out I got these to replace them and with the adjustable insoles they were comfortable immediately, no wearing in. I wouldn't dare look elsewhere for my shoes, my feet would never forgive me.

Customer Comment: My podiatrist recommended this brand, and suggested a trainer for support, with velcro as I have dexterity issues. Since I'm vegan, this was the best option, and the double straps give much more support than the Mary Jane style I tried initially. I'm hypermobile with flat feet, not to mention severe fatigue, and the two insoles provided allowed the podiatrist to remove one (they're pretty roomy shoes) and put in an orthotic insole.

Wearing these shoes is a revelation. Walking is so much easier now! It's a bit more work to do up the velcro tightly than I expected, but still a lot easier than laces. I've left the straps long, as it's easier to pull the shoes open when I'm crashing into bed. The look is a smidge old-fashioned, with the floral pattern that seems more aimed at the older market, but you don't really see it, they mainly just look like black trainers. The heels were a little uncomfortable at first, but wore in quickly.

Both my podiatrist and my physio approved of the shoes when they saw them, and said they had the right amount of flexibility and rigidity where needed.
